dropbox on ubuntu vps

>>get the dropbox daemon, un-tar, run and link.

tar -xvzf dropbox.tar.gz

~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd

will create ~/Dropbox folder, which is auto synced with the cloud dropbox.
